Some big life changes are on the horizon and I've got some very exciting news to share over the next few weeks. With those changes in mind, I'm going to be forced to evaluate the future of The Collective and my ability to produce it weekly. PS. The Crumbl menu SLAPS this week because CORNBREAD IS BACK and she's joined by Peanut Butter M&M , Churro, and Chocolate Crunch.
No one lusts after jewelry like a Marvel character. An Upper East Side grande dame, pitted against an Avenger at a high-stakes auction, will lose every time. The Hulk would curb stomp her, fur coat and all, before she could even raise her number.
The You’re Wrong About–ification of the cinematic character piece is in full swing, Hollywood following the example of a popular podcast dedicated to rewriting the narrative on people and events misunderstood in our collective memory. In a pair of typical episodes, penis-severer Lorena Bobbitt and bubbleheaded hottie Anna Nicole Smith were reappraised as a defiant survivor of abuse and a self-made icon of Americana, respectively.

Good stories make the world go round. But life-changing stories, well, they're a different beast all-together. This podcast features a weekly guest who is masterfully interviewed by hosts Luke Colson and Kyle Wise about their extreme, personal life changing experiences. Car crashes, abuse, being paralyzed, witnessing crimes, abandonment, rejection, living in a foster home, cycling accidents, kidnappings, cults, and tons of other hair raising experiences are told through the stories of everyday people. With a focus on survival, hope, and optimism, this podcast is a much needed dose of optimism in today's world.
Ranging widely in topics but the common refrain is a deeply funny and often insightful banter between two friends who at some point were pastors in their respective ministries. Jason and Christian do shots, drink cocktails, and pontificate on a vast array of cultural, political, and religious topics, many of which, as they readily admit they know absolutely nothing about. The host chemistry is strong with this one!
The true crime genre is so insanely saturated with shows that it's hard to find one that does something a little bit different with the format. But boy, let me tell you, this show is something altogether different. With a focus on true crime stories taking place in small town, this show features the ACTUAL detectives from each of the featured crimes. A really terrific addition to the galaxy of true crime podcasts.
Anyone else a sucker for tortoise shell? This glassware is on sale and I've got my eye on the double old-fashioned glasses.
Again, I don't need any more bags. I literally have bags full of bags. However, I want this diaper bag. We're not expecting but it would make a killer travel backpack and it matches my Away.
It me. I'm Collin. Shockingly, I hate talking about myself but here are the CliffsNotes. 32, Texan turned cruise ship character turned Texan turned Chicagoan turned Texan. Event designer and planner.Interior designer and stylist.Corporate badass.Spotify playlist-makin' fiend. Fiancé and double dog dad. Cursed with an aggressive gluten intolerance but also a passion for bread and no f*cks to give. Why a newsletter? It gives me a creative outlet with a deadline and my therapist says these things are important. Plus, I love to read, shop, share, and most importantly spend time on the internet. I don't sleep.
